Bluebird of Happiness vintage brooch - New old stock

Gorgeous old Vintage enamel Bluebird of Happiness brooch. This is a new vintage piece. Metal and enamel. Most pieces I source are fine jewellery however, although this has a very small quantity of silver in the metal, it is not enough to consider it anything other than metal with enamel. I thought they were lovely enough to make an exception with these pieces. 

The "bluebird of happiness" isa symbol of happiness, joy, hope and friendship - popularized by a 1934 song written by Sandor Harmati, Edward Heyman, and Harry Parr-Davies. It is also the subject of the 1908 play The Blue Bird by Maurice Maeterlinck, which is about two children searching for the magical bird representing happiness. The symbol appears in art, literature, and jewelry, with early examples of bluebird jewelry dating back to 1892.
